For this stage of the project…
FigJam and Figma were heavily used to make rough mock-ups of the designs for both the outside of the book and the layout of the pages of the book.
Mario and I took a month to figure out what typeface, font size, paper type, photos, and other artwork that would be included in the book.
Next Steps For Project
The following are next steps for the Company Guide project
I felt that contacting the book printing company was the best option out of the three I presented to Mario as viable options.
The budget for this project is between $100 and $200 for printing of the book. If the final cost comes out to be more than the budget in order to print the book I will either talk to Mario to see if he is okay with increasing the funding for the book or explore options to make the book fully digital/accessible by a QR Code.
Once the book has been printed, (if the book falls within budget), we will place it out on display in the gallery/lounge area of the cafe and collect active and passive customer feedback on the book. Based on the feedback we receive on the book we will keep them in mind for the next update of the book.
